We've always wanted to see The Army of Terra Cotta Warriors from the Qin Dynasty (221 B.C. - 206B.C.) that was uncovered back in the 70's. All of the faces of the soldiers are carved with unique facial features. Very life-like. It apparently took over 1 million workers to create the army. How cool that they had a few from the troops available to greet us upon arrival. : )
You guys look great, especially after 2 flights and 24 hours! Praying for you...so excited for you!
ReplyDeleteWow you guys! This is so exciting! I wish we could be at your house waiting for you when you get back-just like you guys were for us with Amaya! We are thrilled for you! Blessings,

You DO look great after so much travel! I can't believe you will meet your daughter SO SOON. You can count down to hours & minutes now instead of days, weeks & years!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! Glad to hear that you made it safely to the first spot. Now, on to the next one... each day brings you closer - how exciting!! Have fun and enjoy every moment!
ReplyDeleteluvya,

Did jet lag hit you about 6:30 p.m.? Wow, I never knew what jet lag really felt like until that first night in Beijing!
ReplyDeleteSo cool to see you there, seeing it all in person. It's quite awe-inspiring, isn't it? I mean, they have REAL history - thousands of years of it. When we were in Xi'an, we got to see the whole Terra Cotta museum. It was breathtaking, mind-boggling, and totally overwhelming in all the best ways. Soak it all in, my friend. It's the experience of a lifetime.
