Hidden Treasures

Sunday morning I met a sweet young girl, Chloe, who is about the age of 12 or 13.  We were at church and I was making an early exit to change Eva's diaper in the ladies room.   Chloe was quite fascinated by our daughter and was full of  questions. Finally, after finding out that neither my husband or I were of Chinese heritage, she paused and asked "Do you think you'll have your own kids?"  Now you and I understand what she was asking and she meant no harm in her question.  She seemed to wait with great interest in my response.  "Oh, Chloe, Eva Monet is our own.  This is how God gave us our own children."    The look on her face appeared a bit puzzled for it was not the answer she seemed to be anticipating. "Yes" or "No" or "Maybe Someday", but not that.

In life, I've discovered, that we can't always initially make sense of the 'Big Questions' and the answers that seem to follow.  There are many issues that don't seem to quite add up to our presupposition and what we imagined the 'norm' to be.  Many times the snag occurs because it is not how we anticipated our life to co-exist with our dreams.  Fortunately, I believe, when we take the time to dig deep, AVOID taking the short cut, and with prayerful consideration, wise counsel (i.e., scripture, mature friend,...), and effective investigation, we will uncover hidden treasures just waiting to be revealed. But it's up to us to dig for it.

In honor of this concept, I invite you to watch the attached video. I hope you are touched by the multitude of hidden treasures... How precious and priceless each one of them are:
